The North Australian Aboriginal Family Legal Service (NAAFLS) welcomes enquiries and applications to undertake legal practice experience.
You would be integrated into the NAAFLS office in Darwin, supervised and supported by senior lawyers and our whole team. NAAFLS is an independent Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) which provides family violence prevention legal services and related assistance to over 40 remote communities, plus Darwin and surrounds. The area consists of the Big Rivers Region and Top End in the NT, border to border.
Our legal team and support workers provides holistic culturally appropriate, trauma informed assistance to Aboriginal people who have experienced domestic, family and sexual violence. Our practise areas include child protection, domestic violence restraining orders, family law, crime victims assistance, witness assistance and related.
