Details During their cadetship, students will work alongside Redfern Legal Centre solicitors, gaining practical legal experience and exposure to clients experiencing disadvantage. The program is generously supported by Kerry O’Brien and McCullough Robertson Lawyers. The cadet will be paid a stipend of $54.88 per hour to undertake 18 days of employment spread over a mutually agreed period. Redfern Legal Centre is seeking a part-time solicitor to work with RLC’s police powers and generalist practices What is the role?  This position suits an enthusiastic and dynamic lawyer who enjoys working with people experiencing disadvantage and assisting to create systemic change. The successful applicant will be eligible to hold an NSW practising certificate and have at least 12 months of experience advising clients and/or conducting casework in relation to police powers, criminal law or general civil law. We do this through providing free legal services, policy and law reform work for systemic change; and building capacity in the community. The Employment Rights Legal Service is an innovative collaboration between Redfern Legal Centre, Inner City Legal Centre, and Kingsford Legal Centre to address the employment exploitation of migrant workers.
