An Authorised Officer at the VPS Grade 4 level will be appointed under various Victorian Industrial relations statutes to monitor, assess and seek compliance with any of the legislation the regulated by the Inspectorate including the Owner Drivers and Forestry Contractors Act 2005, the Child Employment Act 2003 and the Long Service Leave Act 2018.
The successful applicant will possess the ability to develop and understanding of the rights and responsibilities under the abovementioned laws and use the powers and functions delegated to Authorised Officers to deal with the public by carrying out education, compliance and enforcement activities.
The successful applicant will conduct investigations relating to alleged non-compliance and use the full range of compliance outcomes available including preparing cases for. prosecution where appropriate.
