The Cairns Community Legal Centre is a non-profit, government-funded community organisation, providing accessible legal and social justice services to people in the community who are experiencing disadvantage.
The Centre extends their service to a number of different areas, including guardianship, domestic violence, peace and good behaviour matters, consumer law, debt, motor vehicle property damage, employment, discrimination, family law, child protection, and criminal and traffic matters.
This work is provided for a diverse range of clients including people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, those experiencing domestic or family violence, financial difficulties and homelessness.
The Cairns Community Legal Centre is now seeking a Paralegal to join their team on a full time basis (38 hours per week).
Working under the guidance of the Centre’s senior and other staff, your role will be to assist with and support provision of the Centre’s work, including:
As a member of the Centre’s team, you’ll also share workloads with your colleagues, and be actively involved in promotional and other activities aimed at the ongoing development of the Centre and services and which seek to meet its corporate goals.
