PLT Work Experience Placement

We are a boutique firm in Surry Hills seeking a motivated and focused law graduate looking to complete their Practical Legal Training to join our team.

You will be given the opportunity to be mentored by experienced Lawyers and to develop your legal skills and experience in various areas of law including Wills and Estate Planning, Deceased Estates, Property Law, Property and Will litigation, Conveyancing and Family Law.

Your duties will include, among other things:

1. General administrative tasks such as attending to incoming calls and archiving closed matters.
2. File management via LEAP documents management software.
3. Conducting legal research and drafting memorandums.
4. Assisting in preparing legal blogs and marketing material.
5. Drafting legal documents under supervision.
6. Ad hoc duties.

 To be successful, you will:

1. Be available to work 3 days per week.
2. Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
3. Have a high attention to detail.
4. Be able to balance work with study.
5. Have a positive attitude and be organized and motivated.
6. Be willing to learn.
7. Possess the ability to both follow instructions and also be pro-active and work independently.
8. Have an interest in writing legal content.
