Part-time PLT Work Experience Placement

Job Description

Ou Yang & Lee Associates Pty Ltd is a fast growing innovative law firm located in Sydney CBD. At Ouyang & Lee Associates, it is all about finding the perfect solutions for our clients in merge and acquisition, compliance, conveyancing, migration law, IP, litigation, family law, government grant, commercial and criminal law.

We are currently offering a work experience placement as a component of Practical Legal Training (unpaid position). The successful applicant will be working in the areas of Employment Law, Migration Law,  Corporations Law, Venture Capital Act, National Education Code, Contract law, Family Law, Property Law, FCC/FCA appeal, IP and Government Grant, ect.

You will also be involved in the legal practice innovation program and building an online national legal service platform.

Duties may include but not limited to the followings:

  • Drafting of legal documents
  • Drafting correspondences
  • Drafting letter of demands;
  • Drafting settlement offers;
  • Filing documents into court,
  • Compiling evidence
  • Liaison with different parties,
  • General administrative works.

 To be successful, a candidate must be:

  • Have completed or be close to completing College of Law, or its equivalent at a participating university;
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good attention to detail and time management skills
  • Be able to work 2-3 days a week (block placements are unlikely as it affects the number of volunteers we can offer a placement)
