Job Description

Turks have a new and exciting opportunity for a Legal Administrator to join our high performing and rapidly growing team in our Sydney office.

Working as part of the Employers Liability practice, consisting of a team of 50 staff across Newcastle and Sydney, the successful candidate will work closely with our partners and lawyers, assisting them to conduct matters and undertake legal secretarial tasks.

Reporting to a Partner, you will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • preparation and drafting of correspondence, including court documents, letters and other word processing;
  • downloading and collating documents;
  • diary management, including diarising hearing dates and processing of documentation for court actions;
  • compiling and sending reports to clients;
  • brief preparation;
  • monthly billing;
  • opening/closing files;
  • assisting lawyers as necessary; and
  • other administrative and secretarial tasks as required by the Group.

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • be able to work 4 - 5 days
  • have completed your Higher School Certificate;
  • have an outstanding level of attention to detail;
  • demonstrate your reliable and responsible nature;
  • have superior time management and organisational skills;
  • be an approachable and responsive team member; and
  • demonstrate ability to work in a professional services firm conducting work of a legal nature, however is not essential
