PLT Work Placement

Rebus Legal is a boutique law firm in Victoria Park. We currently have an invaluable unpaid Legal Practice Experience Placement opportunity for the right person to participate in our internship program and to learn essential legal practice skills in a friendly environment. Our legal practice specializes in Family Law, Criminal and Traffic Law, Civil Law, and Migration Law.

 The placement provides the opportunity to develop and carry out, under supervision, a range of tasks including:

• Drafting of advice documents and submissions.
• Preparation of legal research.
• File administration.
• Attending client interviews; and
• General administrative tasks.

During the placement, the candidate will be exposed to various elements of a law firm and will gain hands-on experience.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

• Completed or near completing their law degree.
• Prepared to work independently under the Supervision of Senior Practitioners.
• Dedicated, hard-working, well organised and have a keen eye for detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• A strong desire to practice in the areas of the firm's speciality.

Preferred:

• Some previous experience working in a legal environment but not essential.
• Excellent client service skills and a good telephone manner.
