Tasks & Responsibilities
- Drafting key court documents and witness statements
- Working alongside barristers and senior counsel on high-stakes cases
- Engaging with clients and providing practical solutions to real-world legal challenges
- Regular court attendance to support ongoing cases
- Reviewing and preparing security documents, including general security deeds, guarantees, and loan agreements
- Advising on shareholders agreements and other joint venture arrangements
- Leading and mentoring a small team of junior solicitors and clerks in property conveyancing matters
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ post-admission experience (PAE) in commercial litigation, conveyancing, and property law, or family law.
- Impeccable attention to detail; you catch the finer points others may miss
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, working efficiently under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with PEXA
- Court experience, particularly in the Supreme and District Courts
