NZ - Law Graduate - Litigation

Smith and Partners is a well-established general practice mid-size law firm in West Auckland. Due to expansion, we are seeking a graduate solicitor to support our busy litigation team.

The role

This is a varied and stimulating role, giving you exposure across a wide range of civil litigation and dispute resolution matters. Areas of litigation include company and commercial disputes, leasing and tenancy, real property, employment, relationship property, and debt collection including insolvency.

You will be working within a highly collaborative litigation team supporting our senor litigation lawyers with research, drafting, opinions, submissions, and some client facing work and Court appearances where suitable. Our team appears before all levels of Courts and Tribunals, including recent appearances at the Court of Appeal.

A successful applicant will have:

• An LLB degree;
• A strong academic record and legal research skills;
• Completed (or be in the process of completing) your professionals; and
• NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.

Candidates with demonstratable client service skills will be preferred.
