The successful candidate will expand their legal experience in a variety of areas in personal injury and insurance based claims. Our firm practices in a range of matters including WorkCover, TAC, Public Liability and Superannuation.  You will take an active role in matters at all stages, including pre-lodgment and litigation in various courts and tribunals.  

We are seeking a law graduate who has an interest in developing their knowledge in personal injury law and civil litigation. We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, has a friendly team attitude and who will take a proactive approach to the role.  As you will be supporting three solicitors, you will need to take initiative and ownership of your set tasks and responsibilities.

In this role, your day-to-day duties may include:

• Undertaking legal research, drafting research memoranda, and preparing case notes;
• File work including drafting medical chronologies and reviewing discovery material;
• Undertaking Health Records Act requests and Freedom of Information Act requests;
• Lodgment of claims;
• Drafting court documents and correspondence;
• Assisting with preparation for litigation, including drafting briefs and court books;
• Liaising with clients, attending statutory conferences and hearings; and
• Administrative assistance including file management, diary maintenance and arranging appointments.

Applicants must have a law degree and be currently undertaking a PLT course.  We are looking to take someone on board for a minimum of two days per week, however, this is negotiable based on your relevant PLT requirements.
