Job Description

Due to the exciting expansion of our market leading insurance team, Turks are looking for Law Clerks and Graduate Lawyers to join our General Insurance group in Brisbane.

With a current team of 20 staff in Brisbane and growing, the successful candidates will work in a close-knit team, with our partners, wider group and clients.  Your practice will be a mix of fraud claims, large property and indemnity advice, with a focus on motor vehicle property claims.

You will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • working on a range of complex insurance litigation and insurance advice matters, across a broad, mixed practice;
  • develop skills in insurance law and litigation;
  • have regular involvement and contact with clients;
  • appear in various courts and tribunals including Magistrates, County and Supreme courts; and
  • supervise and train junior lawyers as required.

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • be currently studying an academic qualification in law, or recently completed; and
  • excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written) skills, with superior attention to detail.

In addition, you will:

  • be an enthusiastic and personable lawyer who has a passion for client service;
  • have the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment, as well as autonomously; and
  • have a desire for personal development.
