About the business

We are a boutique Legal firm based in Perth CBD, practicing primarily in family and criminal law.  We are presently searching for a graduate who is about to be admitted or junior lawyer to work closely with the principal and the team.  The firm has a solid interesting and varied work inflow.

We are in search for the right candidate to assist our team and are looking for a graduate, junior solicitor with less than 2 years of experience. In return, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience and excel in their legal career practicing family and criminal law. 

Some of the aspects of the role:

• Working closely with the principal lawyer and the team in a busy practice:
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision:
• Working autonomously and taking active carriage of files:
• Good knowledge working with software such as Leap, Outlook, Word and Excel:
• Possessing excellent communication and presentation skills:
• Researching, drafting court documents, letters, submissions, affidavits:
• Reviewing disclosure documents, preparing evidence matrix:
• Client interviews and advice for clients:
• Ability to work under pressure and willingness to learn:
• Court attendance including hearings, mediations, interim hearings, bail applications:
• Some weekend and after hours work is required to deal with urgent matters:
• Flexibility within the workplace.
