Graduate Lawyer / Junior Solicitor (up to 2 years)

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic Junior Lawyer (0-2) years or a Law Graduate to join our team.

The position requires you to have a “can-do” attitude. You will be responsible for providing legal support to partners and lawyers predominately in the migration/commercial areas as well as managing your own files.

We require someone who is self-motivated, resourceful and with good legal research skills. The ability to engage collaboratively with others, having a confident positive approach to work and strong written and communication skills.

The successful applicant will have the following experience and qualifications:

• current practising certificate or the ability to hold a current practising certificate (restricted or unrestricted),
• experience in and knowledge of our main practice areas, though training will be provided for the successful applicant as required,
• approachable and friendly demeanor and the ability to fit within our team,
• self-motivated, able to multi-task and able to work with minimal supervision,
• adaptable and strong work ethic and the ability to show initiative when needed,
• demonstrated client focus and the ability to foster strong working and client relationships,
• Working closely with clients throughout all stages of their matters with a strong focus on client care,
• Liaising with your clients, including taking instructions, maintaining communication and providing advice throughout the course of their matters,
• Providing legal advice and professional legal services in an accurate and timely way to achieve the best outcome for your client,
• Conducting thorough legal research, with the ability to produce strong written work, including outlines, submissions, etc;
• excellent file management and organisational skills, as well as the ability to manage your time well,
• excellent written and oral communication skills,

The starting date is negotiable and salary will be based on level of experience.
