About the Role: As a Junior Barrister, you’ll work directly with Senior Barristers on a variety of cases, engaging in legal research, drafting, and strategy development. This role offers exposure to diverse areas of law, giving you a chance to build expertise in high-quality, complex cases while receiving supportive mentorship in a collaborative Chambers environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and prepare case materials
  • Draft pleadings, affidavits, and other legal documents
  • Contribute to case preparation and strategic planning
  • Attend court and gain first-hand litigation experience
  • Provide essential support to senior barristers on varied litigation matters

About You:

  • Recently admitted to the New Zealand bar or have up to 1 year PQE
  • Strong research and drafting skills
  • A proactive attitude, eager to learn and grow in advocacy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Genuine interest in litigation and legal practice
