NZ - Junior Barrister – Prestigious Auckland Chambers

About the Role:

As a Junior Barrister, you will support Senior Barristers across a variety of cases, performing legal research, drafting documents, and contributing to case strategies. You'll work in multiple practice areas, gaining exposure to complex and high-stakes litigation. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented Solicitor eager to take on responsibility and grow within a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and prepare case materials
• Draft pleadings, affidavits, and other essential legal documents
• Assist in case preparation and the development of legal strategies
• Attend court proceedings and observe case management in action
• Provide support to Senior Barristers on a variety of litigation cases

About You:

• 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in a respected legal setting
• Strong skills in legal research and document drafting
• A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and advance your career
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A genuine interest in litigation and advocacy
