The Buurabalayji Thalanyji Aboriginal Corporation (BTAC) is the Registered Native Title Body Corporate (RNTBC) for the Thalanyji People. Our primary purpose is to represent, protect and support the interests of the Thalanyji People.
BTAC was formed in 2008, after the Thalanyji People received native title determination over 11,120 square kilometers of land in and around Onslow Western Australia. Our focus is on managing native title and enabling support for Thalanyji members in the areas of social, economic and cultural development.
Job role
We are offering the opportunity for a 3 - 4 year law student or graduate to complete their PLT placement on a part-time or full-time basis at our South Perth office.
During the placement, you will be exposed to various areas of law including Native Title, Heritage and Mining & Resources Law and will gain practical legal experience while being mentored by a Native Title practitioner.
As BTAC is a not-for-profit organisation this position is unpaid and on a voluntary basis.
