Are you interested in starting your legal career in property law?
For the right law graduate who is interested in property law, Johnstone and Reimer are excited to offer a 4-week paid Practical Legal Training placement, with the goal of providing law graduates hands on experience in property law, at a well-established and reputable suburban firm.
Students can expect a mix of shadowing solicitors and gaining knowledge of what occurs in the property law practice of a busy law practice of 55+ staff, and being tasked with research and drafting projects to assist lawyers and support staff on active client files.
The program will run for four weeks, providing students with a total of 20 work days of supervised experience. Students will be expected to work full time from our Lilydale office, and will be paid at Legal Services Award rates.
Students will be expected to complete weekly reflections on learnings and debrief with their supervising mentor on a regular basis throughout the placement.
Applicants should address their competencies in the following areas:
Strong people/client skills
Excellent attention to detail
High level drafting skills
Above all, applicants should explain what interests them in property law in particular. Further, please specify your geographic location in your application, as priority will be provided to applicants based in the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
