About the Opportunity
A leading not-for-profit aged and home care organisation is seeking a capable and proactive interim paralegal to support its legal and governance functions because of a recent merger. This role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to a live, complex corporate restructuring while building hands-on experience in legal research, administration, and company secretarial support.
Key Details
- Contract Length: 2–3 months (potential for extension at the discretion of the client)
- Hours: Full-time preferred (4–5 days/week), 9am–5pm standard work hours
- Location: Hybrid – 1–2 days/week in office (Norwest or Macquarie Park); remaining days WFH
- Start: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and assist in the preparation of advice
- Provide administrative and organisational support to the legal and company secretariat teams
- Assist with document review, drafting, and filing
- Support the management of governance and compliance tasks
- Help coordinate data collection across different IT systems during the merger
- Attend internal meetings and assist with capturing minutes and follow-ups
Candidate Requirements
- Final-year law student or law graduate
- Availability 4–5 days per week for the next 3 months
- Strong academic results and clear interest in commercial or in-house legal work
- Reliable, tech-savvy, and able to adapt across multiple platforms
- Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail
