We are now seeking a Senior Business & Commercial Lawyer to join our Sydney team — an experienced practitioner who is commercially astute, confident with complex transactions, and eager to take the next step towards leadership and partnership within a growing, forward-thinking firm.
You will manage a diverse and sophisticated caseload, advising business owners, professionals, and high-net-worth individuals on a full spectrum of commercial and corporate matters.
Your work will include:
Business and share sales, acquisitions, and restructures
Commercial, retail, and industrial leasing
Company and trust structuring, shareholder and partnership agreements
Business succession planning, asset protection, and governance
Contract drafting, negotiation, and risk management
Franchising, licensing, and joint venture arrangements
Collaboration with Family Law and Wills & Estates teams on matters involving business interests, property settlements, and intergenerational wealth transfers
You’ll engage directly with high-end private and corporate clients across Sydney, including SMEs, family enterprises, and investors — often in advisory meetings, negotiations, and strategic planning sessions.
This is a role for someone who enjoys both technical excellence and relationship-building, and who wants to be part of a collaborative environment that values autonomy, innovation, and growth.
You are a results-driven, commercially minded lawyer who:
Has 5+ years PAE in Business & Commercial Law (transactional and advisory)
Demonstrates exceptional drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
Is confident in managing client relationships and providing clear, practical advice
Has experience supervising or mentoring junior lawyers or paralegals
Is seeking career progression and an equity or non-equity partnership pathway
Thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys cross-practice work
Has a polished presentation and can comfortably engage high-value clients and professional networks
