PRACTICAL LEGAL TRAINING (PLT) – CRIMINAL LAW

Firm:

Nyman Gibson Miralis (NGM) is a leading and expanding Australian law firm based in Sydney that specialises in international and domestic criminal law including cross-border investigations and white-collar crime.

Role:

NGM is offering two PLT placements to assist our team. We are seeking individuals demonstrating initiative and a strong and genuine interest in criminal law. This is an excellent opportunity for a law student about to begin their PLT and gain experience and develop their skills.

Duties:

  • Assisting solicitors with legal research and document preparation
  • Drafting correspondence and legal documents under supervision
  • Court attendance
  • Attending conferences
  • Assisting with general administrative duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Completed a Bachelor of Laws or equivalent course
  • About to commence Practical Legal Training (PLT)
  • Strong academic background in law, with excellent research and writing skills
  • A genuine interest in criminal law
  • Ability to work independently or part of a team
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a strong desire to learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Available to work a minimum of 4 days per week, preferably 5 days
