Associate to the Honourable Justice Forbes

The Honourable Justice Forbes is seeking a legally qualified individual to be their Associate commencing in early 2026.
Justice Forbes has a background in personal injury and professional negligence law, as well as other general common law related matters. As a solicitor her Honour conducted a wide variety of personal injury matters for individuals and for large scale group proceedings. As a barrister her Honour advised and appeared for plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of matters at trial and appellate levels.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in the Common Law and Criminal Divisions of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

About You
You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to confidently and accurately convey information over the telephone, in person, and via written communication to members of the legal profession, the public and the media are essential to this role.
Exceptional proofreading and writing skills, proficiency in grammar and an excellent academic record is essential.
Must be qualified in Law, with 1-2 years post admission experience desirable. Experience in criminal litigation and understanding criminal procedure, is highly beneficial.
