This role is for a lawyer who genuinely enjoys running contested matters and taking responsibility.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer (minimum 5 years PAE) with solid experience in both civil litigation and family law litigation.

You will have real autonomy, direct client contact, and responsibility for running files from start to finish, with support where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

Civil Litigation

• Running civil litigation matters in the NSW Local Court, District Court and Supreme Court

• Drafting pleadings, affidavits, submissions and advices

• Managing interlocutory applications and procedural strategy

• Advising clients on litigation risk, costs and settlement

• Preparing matters for mediation, hearing and trial

• Appearing in court where appropriate, or briefing counsel

Family Law Litigation

• Running contested parenting and property matters

• Drafting affidavits, Applications, Responses, consent orders and submissions

• Managing interim hearings and procedural steps in the FCFCOA

• Advising clients in high-conflict and emotionally sensitive matters

• Settlement strategy, including negotiations and mediations

About You

• Admitted solicitor in NSW

• Minimum 5 years post-admission experience

• Demonstrated experience in both civil litigation and family law litigation

• Proven ability to carry files independently

• Strong drafting skills and procedural confidence

• Commercial, practical and solutions-focused

• Calm and professional with difficult clients and opponents

• Reliable, organised and deadline-driven
