Job Description

Commercial & Litigation Lawyer – Sydney

We are looking for a Commercial & Litigation Lawyer to join our Sydney-based firm. We have a strong practice in construction contracts and disputes and act for a broad range of commercial clients.

This role suits someone who wants real responsibility. You will run your own matters, deal directly with clients, and work closely with counsel on litigation.

The Role

You will be involved in both commercial and litigation work, including:

  • Working with barristers and assisting in contested matters
  • Running matters across different courts and tribunals
  • Preparing pleadings, evidence, and witness material
  • Dealing directly with clients and managing ongoing relationships
  • Negotiating outcomes and attending mediations
  • Managing files from start to finish

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a law degree and has at least 3 years’ experience, or is a strong recent graduate with the right attitude
  • Has a solid understanding of commercial contracts, construction matters, and disputes
  • Is comfortable with negotiation, mediation, and litigation.
  • Writes clearly and communicates confidently with clients and counsel
  • Is organised, reliable, and pays attention to detail
  • Can work independently but is also a team player
  • Acts with integrity and takes responsibility for their work

Why Join Us

You will be joining a busy, professional firm with hands-on work, good client exposure, and room to grow. The work is varied, challenging, and practical — not just desk-based drafting.
