We are offering positions for enthusiastic and committed students from The College of Law or University who need to undertake their PLT component of their course. You will be assisting our Principal Solicitor, Associates and Barristers on active files, with hands on and practical involvement, such as:

  • Appearing with Barristers in District and Supreme Court Jury trials and assistance in cross-examination of witnesses
  • Appearing with Barristers and Senior Solicitors in Local Court hearings and assisting with witnesses
  • Appear in matters yourself at Court with the help of our Senior Solicitors
  • Attending courts with our Solicitors and Barristers to learn the skills of advocacy 
  • Preparing and helping with bail applications and general administration of the office  

Every person that has participated in the PLT program at our firm has gone into full-time employment at firms such as Turks Legal, Legal Aid NSW, Cth DPP, NSW DPP and the like. This is a voluntary position however employment at the practice may be available for the right candidate at the end of the placement.


  1. Have a strong understanding and interest in Criminal Law,
  2. Be competent, efficient and organised,
  3. Have a friendly personality,
  4. Be able to commit to at least 4 days per week, and
  5. Must have finished University, or in your last semester or about to do College of Law.
