Associate to the Honourable Justice O'Meara, Common Law Division Supreme Court of Victoria

$81,496 per annum + 12% superannuation (VPS Grade 3.1 position)
Role based in the Melbourne CBD
The Honourable Justice O'Meara is seeking a legally qualified individual to be his Associate commencing in November 2026.
Before his appointment to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2021, his Honour practised extensively at the Victorian Bar in common law and public law matters, particularly in the Court of Appeal. As Senior Counsel, he was involved in several significant proceedings. At the Supreme Court, his Honour shares responsibility for the personal injuries lists and is also responsible for civil circuits. His Honour is seeking an ambitious and good humoured Associate to join his chambers.
Duties include:
Assisting with the production of judgments, including proofreading and editing
Clerking in court, including jury trials...
