Immigration Advice and Rights Centre

IARC is a not-for-profit, specialist community legal centre providing free legal advice and assistance to people throughout New South Wales.

As a community legal centre, our mission is to help those with the greatest need. Our clients are financially disadvantaged, come from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and often speak little or no English. Many experience multiple layers of disadvantage including homelessness, low education levels and disability. They have often experienced torture and trauma. Nearly half our clients have experienced or are at risk of family violence.

We provide advice in relation to:

  • Family visas
  • Refugee and Humanitarian visas
  • Citizenship
  • Visa cancellations

IARC also provides free community legal education to workers and the general public.
