Since 1 March 2020, the Reportable Conduct Scheme has been operated by the Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG) under the Children's Guardian Act 2019.
The scheme monitors how certain organisations (‘relevant entities’) investigate and report on types of conduct ('reportable allegations' or 'reportable convictions') made against their employees, volunteers or certain contractors who provide services to children. The scheme also covers religious bodies, in response to recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
The OCG creates safer places for children in NSW by regulating and monitoring organisations and individuals that provide services to children. We are a trusted authority on quality in child safe practices, in out-of-home care, and worker screening and safety. We have a dynamic and committed workforce, and a culture that encourages and promotes innovation and strives for continuous improvement.
We offer a positive working environment with dedicated professionals working across a range of regulatory functions to create safe places for children. Attractive employment conditions include a competitive remuneration package and flexible working conditions.
