We are a boutique law firm specialising in Will and Estate Law in Queensland. We have offices in Milton, Ashgrove and also the Sunshine Coast.

About the Role:

We are looking a motivated Junior Wills & Estate Lawyer to join our dynamic team in our Milton, Brisbane office.

****As we are a small firm, the role will also hold an administration component. All calls are answered by lawyers in our office and filing, printing and sending correspondence by mail will also be required by the candidate. Please do not apply if you are not comfortable with this****

The role will be reporting directly to an Associate in the office and will the job will be to provide quality support and assistance to her, both in legal tasks and also with administration jobs.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Drafting wills, probates and letters of administration;
• Assisting with estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation matters;  
• Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries etc;
• Drafting correspondence;
• Filing Court documents;
• Supporting the Associate with court documents and file management;
• Preparing briefs;  
• Answering telephone calls;
• Witnessing documents;
• Managing deadlines and client follow-ups;
• General administrative duties such as diary and file management eg scheduling of appointments, opening and archiving files; and
• Providing general assistance to the legal team.

Your Skills and Experience:

Ideally you will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

• Ideally have previous experience in Wills and Estates (preferably, but not essential, you will have worked in an estate law firm while studying)
• Admitted (or shortly will be) and allowed to practice as a restricted solicitor;
• Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team;
• Pleasant and professional phone manner;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with a high level of attention to detail;
• The ability to prioritise tasks and display initiative;
• Commitment to providing a high level of client service.

Whilst the role offered is full-time, we will consider part-time options for an outstanding applicant.
