Intellectual Disability Rights Service Inc

The Intellectual Disability Rights Service (IDRS) is a community legal centre and disability advocacy service.  We work alongside people with disability to promote and protect their rights.  We have a particular focus on helping people with intellectual disability throughout NSW.

IDRS provides legal advice, legal casework, support and advocacy, and works for improvements to laws and policies affecting people with intellectual disability.  We provide information to legal and other professionals supporting people with intellectual disability.    We build the capacity of people with intellectual disability through education and information about their rights and responsibilities.

IDRS operates on a not-for-profit basis.  Practical legal training placements at IDRS are voluntary positions.
