Is this you?
We are looking for a junior commercial lawyer (min 1-2 years PQE) who is passionate, practical, efficient, accountable and perceptive with strong attention to detail.
You should possess strong communication skills and have a strong passion to succeed. You should be proactive in your approach with managing a high volume of matters at once.
Experience in the following corporate and commercial areas is favourable:
Mergers and acquisitions
Franchising
Startup capital raising
Commercial litigation and disputes
Technology and IP contracts
Commercial and retail leases
Privacy and data protection
A highly desirable candidate will have commercial acumen with the personality and drive to introduce new clients, and manage existing client relationships.
What you'll be doing:
There is a copious amount of good quality, challenging work on offer for an array of clients from franchisors, retail clients and entrepreneurs.
You will be involved in all things commercial/corporate - drafting documents and advising clients; from sale and purchase of businesses, franchising laws, commercial leasing to general commercial advice, advising on directors' duties, shareholder agreements and related agreements including more specifically:
Sales and purchases of businesses, private mergers and acquisitions
Business and franchise set-up and structuring advice
Franchising, licensing and distribution agreements
Partnership, Shareholder, Joint Venture advice, agreements
Franchising and business-related litigation and disputes
Intellectual property licenses and trademark management
Commercial and retail property advice, leasing and licensing
Negotiated exits from business systems
