Position Overview
The Research Specialist (Federal Crime) provides high level research, analysis and drafting support to the Federal Crime and Related Proceedings National Practice Area, with a focus on the development of policies and protocols for the coordination, administration, and supervision of jurors in FCA indictable criminal proceedings.
The primary responsibilities of the Research Specialist (Federal Crime) are to:
Conduct legal, procedural, and operational research relevant to the Federal Crime and Related Proceedings National Practice Area.
Analyse legislation, case law, and court rules to inform the development of guidance materials and internal procedures in the Federal Crime and Related Proceedings National Practice Area.
Support the development of jury management policies and protocols.
Draft procedural guides, briefing notes, and operational policies.
