Role Overview:
VOLUNTARY - Must be PLT Student or stage of degree requires compulsory practical legal training.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated person to join our team in support of their law degree. We offer an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to enhance their legal knowledge and skills while gaining exposure to real-world legal processes and procedures. The successful candidate will assist with various tasks and projects, contributing to the firm's work while learning from experienced legal professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct legal research and analysis on various case law, statutes, and legal precedents.
· Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and contracts.
· Attend court proceedings, client meetings, and consultations to observe and take notes.
· Support barristers in case preparation and strategy development.
· Maintain organised files and documentation for ongoing cases.
· Engage in administrative tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the office.
Qualifications:
· Must be currently enrolled in a law degree program and is expected to participate in practical legal training as a compulsory component of the degree.
· Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
