The Role
We are seeking a Family Law Graduate Lawyer to join our team. This role is suitable for:
- a graduate with 1–2 years’ experience in family law, or
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated junior lawyer to build strong technical and practical skills in family law within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with family law matters, including parenting disputes, property settlements and divorce applications
- Drafting court documents, correspondence, affidavits and consent orders
- Legal research and preparation of advice under supervision
- Liaising with clients, counsel, experts and court registries
- Supporting senior practitioners in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings
- Maintaining accurate file management and compliance with firm procedures
About You
- Admitted as a solicitor in Australia
- Ideally 1–2 years’ experience in family law (highly regarded ）
- Sound understanding of the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth) and court procedures
- Excellent English speaking, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management
- Professional, empathetic and client-focused approach
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
