We are now seeking a junior solicitor to join our Estate & Succession Planning team in Melbourne. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is motivated by intellectually challenging work, enjoys direct client engagement and aspires to grow specialist capability in a highly regarded private clients practice.

The Opportunity

As part of our team, you will work on an array of sophisticated matters, including:

• Comprehensive estate and succession planning and implementation for high-net-worth individuals, families and complex structures
• Drafting and advising on wills, testamentary and lifetime trusts, enduring powers of attorney, advance health directives, and binding death benefit nominations
• Advising on succession of trusts, companies and SMSFs and structuring for tax and asset protection outcomes
• Business succession planning, governance and intergenerational transfer strategies that integrate with broader wealth objectives
• Working collaboratively with accountants, financial advisers and family advisers to deliver holistic solutions
• Assisting clients through estate administration, probate and complex or contested estate matters (including disputes in trust, SMSF or deceased estate contexts)
• Providing risk-focused, proactive guidance that helps minimise disputes and maximise client certainty and preparedness

This role will allow you to own matters, contribute meaningfully to high-value engagements and strengthen your technical and strategic depth under the mentorship of senior advisers.

About You

• Strong foundations in estate planning, trusts, tax, succession and related structuring work
• Excellent legal drafting skills and attention to practical detail
• A clear and confident communication style — capable of explaining complex legal and technical concepts simply and effectively
• A proactive, client-oriented and solution-focused mindset
• The ability to manage diverse priorities and contribute constructively to a collaborative practice environment

Prior experience in private client work, trusts and estate planning is highly regarded, though motivated candidates with strong technical skills and genuine interest will be considered.
