Full Time/ Part Time PLT

Visa Plan is a migration law firm. This role is based in our office on every day you work. A big part of the job is phone based, and you will often be the first person our clients and prospective clients speak to. That means you will be taking frequent calls, building rapport quickly, and helping matters move forward with clear follow up.

This is a practical, hands on role. You will learn a lot, quickly, but you will need to be comfortable figuring things out, asking good questions, and taking ownership of your tasks. We will support you, but we do not run a spoon fed environment.

If you prefer minimal phone work or a slower pace, this role may not be the right fit.

What you will do

• Answer and return calls from clients and prospective clients throughout the day
• Gather key information, triage enquiries, and escalate issues to the right lawyer
• Communicate clearly and professionally, especially when clients are stressed or unsure
• Follow up for documents and responses and keep matters progressing
• Assist with visa matters under supervision, including drafting emails and organising documents
• Maintain accurate file notes and keep our systems up to date

What we are looking for

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Confidence speaking with people on the phone and building trust quickly
• Good judgment and attention to detail
• The ability to learn quickly and work through problems without constant step by step guidance
• A reliable work ethic and a genuine interest in migration law

Remuneration

• PLT period: unpaid
• Post PLT: starting $65,000 plus super
