Graduate/Junior Immigration Lawyer

Chua Tan Associates Lawyers, Consultants & Public Notary is a well-established busy boutique CBD general law practice that provides legal services in a range of areas including immigration, family, commercial, criminal, litigation, wills and estates, corporation, conveyancing, and public notarisation.

 We are looking for a lawyer who has strong interest and is dedicated to practise in immigration law to join our busy specialist team. Law graduates and junior lawyers are welcomed to submit your expression of interest.

 You will be handling various type of visa applications and appeal applications (merit and judicial review), submissions, research and some administrative duties. The position includes client contact and autonomy but with supervision as required. 

 You will receive mentoring from senior lawyers and LIV Accredited Specialists in Immigration Law. Candidates interested in becoming an Accredited Specialist in Immigration law will fit well to this position. 

 The successful candidate must have:

• admitted to practise as a lawyer or about to be admitted;
• ability to read, understand and communicate in Mandarin or Cantonese;
• attention to detail;
• excellent written English and communication skills;
• high motivation and own initiative, mature team player, can do and results driven attitude;
• strong computer, research, drafting legal submission, analytical and interpretation skills;
• ability to manage all files with efficient and effective time deadlines management and manage conflicting priorities;
• ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure with substantial workload in the fast-paced environment;
• strong commitment to client services.

 The position is full-time and the salary will be commensurate with experience.
