PLT Part-time (2–3 days per week) Intellectual Property / Technology Law

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Practical Legal Trainee (PLT) with a strong interest in intellectual property and software licensing to support matters involving CAD/CAM software compliance, enforcement, and dispute resolution.

This role offers hands-on exposure to acting for software licensors in licensing compliance reviews, enforcement strategies, and alternative dispute resolution processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with software license compliance and enforcement matters

  • Support review and analysis of licensing agreements and EULAs

  • Conduct legal research on copyright, contract, and technology law issues

  • Assist in preparing correspondence, briefing notes, and evidence files

  • Support dispute resolution and settlement processes

  • Maintain case documentation and compliance records

About You

  • Currently completing or enrolled in a Practical Legal Training (PLT) program

  • Strong interest in intellectual property and technology law

  • Interest in software licensing models and compliance frameworks

  • Excellent legal research and drafting skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity

Desirable

  • Exposure to IP, technology, or commercial law subjects

  • Understanding of dispute resolution processes
