About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Practical Legal Trainee (PLT) with fluent Mandarin and English communication skills to join our Sydney office from May 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate or PLT student looking to gain hands-on experience in a specialist immigration law practice.

You will work closely with lawyers and support staff across a range of immigration matters while developing practical legal, administrative, and operational support skills. The role will primarily involve assisting with legal and administrative tasks, file management, document preparation, research, and general support work within the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lawyers and support staff with a range of immigration and administrative matters.
• Provide general legal and operational support under supervision.
• Prepare, organise, and maintain documents and file records.
• Conduct basic research and assist with case-related tasks where required.
• Support the team with administrative coordination and day-to-day office tasks.
• Update and maintain the firm’s case management systems and internal records.
• Attend internal meetings and assist with other duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently completing or eligible to commence a Practical Legal Training (PLT) program.
• Strong interest in Australian immigration law and a genuine interest in developing a career in legal practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese are Essential.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, reliable, and willing to learn.
