THE ROLE
This is an exciting junior litigation role with solid opportunities for advocacy in court, settlement conferences and otherwise. The role involves the carriage of a file load, operating in conjunction with and under the direct supervision and guidance of the Director. This will include contact with clients, providing legal advice, document preparation, attendances at mediations, settlement conferences and court where applicable. This position will report directly to the Director, Elizabeth Hynes, who will also provide regular, structured and supportive file and performance reviews. A competitive salary is on offer.

DCH Legal Group (DCH) was established in 1994 and is a boutique specialist family law firm operating in the West Perth business district. The Director Elizabeth Hynes is an accredited specialist, with over 40 years’ experience in the field, and is the past editor of the bulletin published by the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of WA (“FLPA”), the past chair of the Law reform sub-committee for FLPA, and the current chair of the Family Law Accreditation sub-committee for the Law Society of WA. DCH provides advice and representation in high net worth and complex property division, parenting, spousal maintenance and child support, surrogacy, family violence matters and other family law related issues. DCH is a litigation-based practice with a strong emphasis on mediation.
The firm presently has six (6) full time staff members including four (4) lawyers. While DCH has sought to maintain a smaller working team for the last few years, it is now in a growth period and looking to expand. DCH provides a happy and enthusiastic learning environment, is well recognised for its junior lawyer mentoring program, and attracts quality clients. All members work collaboratively regarding content and file management. The practice operates an efficient digital environment, and has quality assurance recognition through the WA Law Society.
