Estates and Wills Paralegal

Job Description

This is a minimum 30-hour per week, on-site or hybrid role for an Estates and Wills Paralegal based in Hervey Bay, QLD. The successful candidate will assist with the preparation and management of estate planning and deceased estate matters, including drafting legal documents, liaising with clients, and supporting solicitors in wills and probate matters.

Key responsibilities include conducting legal research, preparing wills, powers of attorney, and probate documentation, managing client files, liaising with external stakeholders, and providing administrative and paralegal support across estate administration matters. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent client communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Knowledge or experience in Wills and Estates law and legal procedures.
• Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and preparation of legal documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional client-focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain strict client confidentiality.
• Previous experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role is highly regarded.
• Experience with Queensland legal systems and procedures is an advantage.

• Ability to pass a background check
• Availability to work in an onsite setting
