The Opportunity:
I am offering a hands-on remote placement for a PLT student. Because you will be working directly with the Principal, you will gain exposure to a wide, diverse range of files rather than being siloed into a single department. This is a fantastic opportunity to build real-world skills and complete your required placement hours in a supportive environment.
What You Will Do:
Under direct supervision, your day-to-day tasks will vary depending on current case load, and may include:
- Legal Research & Drafting: Assisting with case law research and drafting correspondence, court documents, and contracts.
- Family Law: Assisting with parenting and property matters, reviewing disclosure documents, and preparing briefs.
- Commercial Law: Reviewing commercial agreements and assisting with corporate files.
- Litigation & Employment: Drafting letters of demand, employment agreements, affidavits and assisting with dispute resolution files.
- Wills & Estates: Assisting with file management for estate planning and probate applications.
