Junior Solicitor/Paralegal part time ongoing (28 hours per week)
To assist victims of crime to apply for compensation via the Financial Assistance Scheme and other legal work including infringements, tenancy, crime, family law, wills and administrative law as required.
Southport Community Legal Service (the Service) is a generalist community legal centre serving the people who live, work or study in the City of Port Phillip LGA - Port Melbourne, Garden City, South Melbourne, Albert Park, Middle Park, West St Kilda and Southbank areas. It is a not-for-profit organisation that has operated for over 30 years.
The Service’s operating expenses are funded largely by the City of Port Phillip. In addition, the Service receives a grant from the Victorian Government that is used to fund our victims of crime (FAS) practice.
