If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you at our boutique law firm. Our firm specialises in compensation law, compulsory acquisition, environment and planning law, and commercial disputes. The successful candidate will work closely with a senior solicitor, assisting with legal research, drafting correspondence and court documents, preparing briefs, attending client meetings where appropriate, and observing court and tribunal proceedings. We are looking for a candidate with strong academic results, excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to learn and grow.  This is a volunteer placement for students wishing to satisfy Practical Legal Training requirements.  There is potential for paid employment for the right candidate upon successful completion of the volunteer placement....

Knowmore is once again recruiting law students to volunteer for a 3 month placement with our team.   Knowmore is a multi-disciplinary community legal centre which assists survivors of child sexual abuse and the stolen generations. Volunteers will be required to commit one day a week for 3 months of volunteer work. There will be the possibility for the role to be ongoing. Volunteers will work closely with the legal team to complete casework. Successful candidates should possess strong research and drafting skills, a keen interest in social justice and supporting clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and the ability to work autonomously.
