PLT Student Positions

About the Role

Aussie Lawyers is looking for a PLT student 2 days a week in order to assist with general practice matters, primarily personal injury law matters. The position is a voluntary position with potential long term employment prospects in a young, modern and dynamic legal practice in the Hills Shire district of Greater Western Sydney (directly opposite the new Bella Vista Station). 

You will be working with experienced legal professionals and gain relevant experience in a diverse range of legal matters across all states and territories.

The ideal candidate will have: 

• The ability to learn quickly
• Some experience in a law firm is preferred 
• High level of attention to detail
• Excellent presentation in person and on the phone
• Very confident and willing to talk to people on a regular/daily basis
• Reliable, enthusiastic and passionate attitude
• Outstanding time management and organisation skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The Role will require you to: 

• Liaising with Government Departments, Insurance companies and other private companies and clients primarily to obtain relevant documents and information via email and over the phone
• Work in a team under the direct guidance and supervision of the Principal as well as the solicitor and paralegal
• Assisting to complete documents required for personal injury claims and other legal matters
• Engaging with clients to obtain relevant documents
• Administrative tasks 
• Talking to prospective clients and obtaining information over the phone
