Due to growth in our Perth office, we have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Lawyer or about to be Graduate Lawyer. This is a full-time role providing expert legal services to clients in the fields of personal injury, workers’ compensation and dust diseases law.
What you will be doing
· Assisting with the preparation and management of personal injury claims
· Conducting client and witness interviews, gathering evidence and conducting research to build strong cases
· Briefing expert witnesses including doctors, rehabilitation providers and forensic accountants
· Preparing estate planning documents on an as required basis
· Negotiating settlements and assisting with representing clients in court proceedings and informal settlement negotiations
· Maintaining detailed records and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
· Contributing to the wider team through research, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
What we are looking for
· Relevant law degree and admission to practice as a lawyer (or soon to be admitted)
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise with clients
· Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Keen attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality legal services
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
