Description
We are seeking an energetic, efficient and motivated criminal lawyer with 0 - 3 years PAE.
The successful applicant will possess:
Experience appearing in summary proceedings including pleas, contest mentions and bail applications.
Experience instructing counsel in more complex matters
Excellent attention to detail with strong oral and written communication skills
A high level of organisation and time management
The ability to analyse briefs of evidence
The capacity to work well under pressure, multi-task, coordinate, take initiative and prioritise your workload with competing demands
A strong work ethic and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
You must be committed to providing expert legal representation to individuals while offering support to their needs including via therapeutic court processes where possible.
You must be motivated to learn and expand your knowledge.
Knowledge of VLA Guidelines are an advantage (but not a requirement).
