Junior Solicitor

We are a small team of solicitors and administrative staff offering an opportunity for a junior lawyer, recent law graduate, or final year law student to join our firm.

We specialise in advising and preparing documents for companies, trusts, self-managed superannuation funds and charities. We deal with areas of trust law, taxation law (including duties legislation in all states and territories), superannuation law, ACNC and DGR registration requirements for not-for-profit organisations as well as matters related to IP, conveyancing, estate planning and family law as they relate to our practice.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will involve:

1. drafting deeds, contracts, director/trustee resolutions and other legal documents; 
2. drafting costs agreements and correspondence to clients (primarily accountants and financial planners);
3. answering telephone queries and other administrative tasks, as required;
4. assisting our senior solicitor with property transactions, including retail and commercial leases and residential sales and purchases; and
5. assisting our senior solicitor with estate planning matters including wills, powers of attorney and guardianship deeds.

About You

The successful applicant will have strong attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, a genuine interest in our practice areas, and, ideally, experience working in a law firm for at least 1-2 years capable of taking ownership of matters (under supervision initially).

Position Details

This is a full-time position. However, we will consider applications for a part-time position if you have relevant experience and/or if you are a final year law student.

We are located close to Circular Quay Station and Wynyard Station.
