Job Description

We are seeking a graduate lawyer to join our team on a full-time basis at our McLaren Vale office.

This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in wills, estates and family law while working closely with experienced practitioners in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be mentored and entrusted with meaningful responsibility from the outset across a broad range of matters, including family provision, property and divorce.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Work directly with experienced lawyers across a range of wills, estates and family law matters;
  • Draft wills, court documents and affidavits, and correspond with legal professionals;
  • Attend Court with senior practitioners in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA);
  • Communicate with clients;
  • Conduct legal research and provide general administrative support.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current practising certificate (or entitled to obtain one);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel;
  • Strong research, analytical and drafting skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • A high level of attention to detail and a conscientious approach to your work.

Previous experience in a law office environment is highly desirable; however, strong candidates without post-graduate experience will also be considered.
