Job Description

About Us

Our firm is a general practice firm based in the Northern Suburbs of greater Sydney. We work with a diverse range of clients across property, family law, and estate planning matters, and we pride ourselves on delivering genuinely personal, high-quality legal services. We value mentorship, meaningful work, and a culture where every person matters.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent entry point for a junior lawyer or law graduate who wants to build hands-on experience across multiple areas of law. You will work directly alongside our experienced Principal and senior lawyers.

We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us long-term and who will thrive in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Areas of Practice

You will assist and, over time, act independently with supervision in matters across:

  • Property transactions, including residential sales and purchases, and retail and commercial leases
  • Estate planning and administration, including wills, powers of attorney, guardianship documents, and applications for Probate
  • Family law, including property and parenting matters

Your Duties Will Include

  • Drafting legal and court documents, affidavits, submissions and applications
  • Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, government departments, third parties and other solicitors
  • Managing correspondence and ensuring clear, timely communication
  • Ensuring clients feel informed, supported and guided through their matter
  • Conducting legal research
  • Supporting billing, file management and compliance processes
  • Assisting with other administrative tasks as required

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 1–2 years of experience working in a law firm as a paralegal or law clerk — experience in property, family law, or wills and estates is strongly preferred (recent graduates with relevant clerkship or practical legal training experience are encouraged to apply)
  • Strong attention to detail and sound drafting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A personable, empathetic and professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
  • An eagerness to learn, grow and invest in a long-term career in general practice
  • The ability to work full-time from our office

What We Offer

  • Personalised mentorship from our Principal and senior lawyers
  • Variety of work
  • Opportunity to build client relationships
  • Work-life balance
  • A supportive team culture where your contribution is valued
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • The opportunity to work towards running your own matters
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements considered once you have settled into the role

What Should I Include in My Cover Letter?

Your cover letter is your opportunity to introduce yourself beyond your resume. We want to understand your communication style, what draws you to general practice, and why you think you’d be a good fit for our team and culture. Tell us who you are, not just what you’ve done.

Please aim for one page. Two pages is the maximum.
